Over the years Santa Lucia Parish has enlightened the hearts and minds of many families.  Currently, Santa Lucia is the only Scalabrinian parish in the Chicagoland with a school. We serve our community with daily mass, sacramental preparation for our students, novenas in honor of St. Lucy, monthly holy hour, public recitation of the rosary daily, as well as CCD instruction for the children in our community. In addition, Santa Lucia Parish has many groups which contribute to the life of our parish. Among those groups are the Senior Citizens Group, Altar and Rosary Society, Holy Name Society, two church choirs, Home School Association, Sports Association, School Board and our Pastoral Office for Adult Religious Education.

Prayer to Saint Lucy

Dear Saint Lucy whose name signifies light, we come to you filled with confidence.  Obtain for us that light that makes us careful to avoid sin.  We also ask the preservation of the light of our bodily eyes and to use them for the good of God and our souls.

Santa Lucia

Sul Mare lucica l'astro d'argento. Placida é l'onda, prospero il vento.

Con questo zeffiro cosí soave, Oh, comé é bello star sulla navé.

Venite all'agile barchetta miá. Santa Lucia,Santa Luciá.

Su, passeggeri, venite viá. Santa Lucia, Santa Luciá.

O, dolce Napoli, o suol beato, Ove sorridere volle il Creato.

Tu sei l'imperio dell'armoniá. Santa Lucia, Santa Luciá.

Tu sei l'imperio dell'armoniá. Santa Lucia, Santa Luciá.
